More Monthly Financial Partners Needed!

I am currently at 65% on my monthly finances.

How Are You?

That seems to be the question of the week this week and frankly...I have NO idea how to answer it. Here's my attempt...my request of you in reading this is that you would just pray for me. I don't know how I feel...I have no words to express it...but I need God and His power and strength so please...just pray!

How Am I?

• I'm tired actually...I'm EXHAUSTED
• I'm excited
• I'm sad
• I'm busy
• I'm happy
• I'm nervous
• I'm SO blessed
• I have NO idea what to do first
• I'm not good at goodbyes
• I'm scared but not fearful
• I'm walking into the unknown
• I'm without a home
• I have nothing...but I have Christ and that's enough
• I'm full of joy
• I'm full of tears
• I'm done with work
• I still have no idea do with the rest of my stuff
• I'm trying to get over a cold
• I'm resting in God's arms
• I'm enjoying seeing God's goodness and grace
• I'm anxious to see what spiritual family God blesses me with in Uganda
• I'm brokenhearted over leaving my spiritual family here
• I'm really hoping that everyone stays in touch with me when I am gone
• I'm really hoping that I am not forgotten
• I'm disappointed by some
• I'm blown away by the love of others
• I'm encouraged
• I'm honored
• I'm impressed
• I'm fighting the desire to be lazy
• I'm challenged
• I'm persecuted
• I have 15 days and counting
• I JUST DON'T KNOW!

Just pray for me...

The Next 22 Days...

They are going to be busy is all that I can say!

I can't believe that it is down to the last three weeks before I leave for Colorado. It seems like this day would never come but for some reason it snuck up on me faster than I could snap my fingers!

First off let me say that I would love to spend quality time with all of you but in reality...there is just not enough of me to go around!

The next 22 days consist of:

6 more days of work
a minimum of 2 days cleaning out my classroom
4 community group meetings
7 fundraisers (hopefully bringing me from 61% monthly funding to 100% monthly funding)
1 full day of PowerPoint fun
4 dinner dates
3 doctor appointments
at 2 or 3 days of organizing and getting rid of the rest of my belongings
packing
cleaning
selling my car
saying good byes

That's at least 30 days worth of stuff all shoved into 22 days...needless to say...I could use your prayers...and possibly a hand or two or three!

I have heard some say it is easier to be a missionary in another country rather than your own and at this point I am going to have to disagree...fundraising, putting everything I own into 2 suitcases and flying across the world is no easy feat and it is a good thing that I am not in this thing alone!

Commissioned and Sent off!

Last Sunday I had the privilege of being officially "sent out" into the mission field.  It was a great time for my church family to come around me, pray for me, love on me, and officially send me off.

My table in the lobby - where I met many new friends and was blessed beyond comprehension!!  I went from 58% funded on my startup costs to just under 100% in less than 12 hours!  I was left speechless and amazed at God's provision!

So....What next??  

I have 4 weeks left in California!!  In that time I need to sell my car, sell my remaining possessions, continue to fundraise, finish out my school year with my students, and say goodbye to my friends and family!

Lizards, Turtles & Snakes...Oh My!

No, no...I am not in Africa yet BUT I did get to have some fun with reptiles this week!

It was pretty cool because we saw reptiles from all over the globe...Africa, Papua New Guinea, Mexico, & North America just to name a few.

A busy week...

This week is going to be BUSY~

Pray for me!

I am speaking to two community groups this week, sharing my ministry with them and asking them to join with me both prayerfully and financially.

I also have the opportunity to share my ministry video with my home church this upcoming Sunday and have a table in the lobby to chat with people. Pray that while I won't get to speak to everyone (there are approx 4000 people at my church) that they will still get a glimpse of my heart and get excited about what God is doing in Uganda!

I am also super excited this week because two of my new friends from the NMSI training in Florida are coming into town! Pray that we will just enjoy each other's company before we all head off to places around the world!

How can God love me this much!?

I am blown away by God and His goodness!

Tonight my one-time support jumped from being at 24% to 44%!

I stand amazed at how God is using His body of believers to rally behind me and send me off!

God continually amazes me each and every week in the provision and watch care over me!

I am so blessed to know Him, to know His kindness, and to know His unfailing love!

All I can do is get on my knees and praise His Holy Name!

Thank you Father for Your Grace, I am truly humbled by Your love for me!

I can never repay You for Your kindness but I pray that each and every step I take brings glory and honor to You and You alone!

I am left speechless by You...Thank You from the bottom of my heart!
